Planning A Bahamas Crossing This Summer?

Bahamas Crossing South Florida

Many of our clients make the crossing from South Florida to the Bahamas every summer and more often than not, a few times! We have to say, we can’t blame you! It’s a beautiful trip.

Before you go, there are a few things that you will want to get checked out.

First and foremost, you need to get your vessel serviced and a thorough inspection. Wide open waters can certainly exploit any faults that your vessel may have. You don’t want to run into any issues halfway there.

Give us a call to do a routine nautibottom cleaning.

Our complete Hull Cleaning service includes:

  • All submerged of port and starboard sides from the water surface to bilge keels and from bulb to sternpost

  • Both sides of propeller blades

  • Propeller boss

  • Both sides of the rudder blade

  • Both lateral bilge keels

  • The flat bottom area from bilge keels to the central keel and from bulb to sternpost

While under your vessel we will perform a Hull Inspection. Hull Inspections are ALWAYS FREE with a Hull Cleaning. We will inspect the entire boat hull surface including:

  • propeller

  • zincs

  • shafts

  • struts

  • rudders

  • keels

  • metals

  • through hulls

Once you have peace of mind that your vessel is in the best shape possible you can ponder other things often not thought of. Like.....

Should you do Bahamian mooring or traditional?

Southern Boating has a great article that can help you decide which mooring might be best for you and the type of anchor needed.

Thank you all for your continued trust in us and we look forward to an amazing summer keeping you out on the water.
